Maddox, 4 Months

  • Weighs 14 pounds
  • Smiles all the time
  • Squeals so loudly!
  • Has rolled over a few more times! Still not consistent yet.
  • Fits into 6 month clothes now

  • Kisses
  • Playing with rattles
  • Going on walks at night
  • Being in his carseat too long
  • Being put down when hungry

  • Time in school- mom and dad miss you so much during the day
  • Time at the zoo
  • Sleeping in your own room at night now

Eating: Maddox still nurses about every three hours. He doesn't let me miss it by a minute!

Sleeping: Sleep is okay these days. Maddox has been such a great sleeper from the start, but this four month sleep regression is rough. He's waking up a few times a night, and we're supporting him fall asleep more independently.

We love this boy with all our hearts. I cannot believe how fast time flies.

Maddox, 2 Months

  • Weighs 12 pounds, 2 ounces
  • Has grown out of newborn diapers- cue the tears
  • Smiles all the time
  • Started to coo this month
  • Bath time is his favorite part of the day
  • Now hates tummy time
  • Has outgrown all of his newborn clothes

Nicknames: Buggy, Buggerton

  • Bath time
  • Rattles
  • Seeing his parents faces in the morning
  • Being naked
  • Long walks in the stroller
  • Raspberries on his belly
  • Naps in the evening hours
  • Hats
  • First Christmas
  • First time sleeping through the night
  • Trips out in public- lots of trips to Target for mom. ;)

Eating: Maddox still nurses about every three hours, with the exception of nighttime. He only wakes one time during the night to feed and then falls right back asleep. The doctor says he's gaining weight super well and is growing at double the rate in which they like to see. My big baby takes after his mom in the eating department.

Sleeping: Sleep is still wonderful at night. We really couldn't ask for better sleep. He wakes one time to feed and then goes right back down. During the day, we've hit a bit of a snag. His naps aren't as long during the day and there have even been a couple days where he's refused naps completely. This is all part of his leap, so we know this will pass. We're just giving Buggy lots of love while he gets through this Wonder Week leap.

Seeing this boy smile at us is by far the greatest thing in life. We're so lucky to be your mom and dad.
