Happy Thursday, everyone! Since tomorrow is Friday Favorites, I thought I would share my books from March!

I've kept the ball rolling with having read another 5 books this month! I'm so happy that I'm still carrying out this goal according to plan!

So true, friends. So true.

Friday Favorites {3.17.17}

It's that time again, friends! The weekend is upon us and I have some great favorites to share with you!

As always, I'm linking up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci.

I've recently peeked an interest in Teavana tea. Last weekend, while shopping with my mom, we stopped into Teavana with all types of questions about brewing tea how to start. The most helpful woman told us about their super popular Perfectea Maker. In my opinion, this is such a good deal! For $30, you get the loose tea brewer, rock sugar, and a tin to keep your tea fresh. We were instantly hooked. We got an awesome variety pack of tea, and left some super happy campers!

I'm going to have to add this romper to my favorites next Friday as well, once I buy a nice bralette! I bought this amazing romper from my new favorite boutique, Nana Macs! It is the most amazing and quality material, that I almost feel like I'm stealing it from them. Once I buy a bralette to match, I'll take a picture in mine to show you all.

Find it here

If you know me, you know that when I go on a vacation, I have to literally buy a whole new wardrobe because I hate wearing the same ol' ordinary items on a fun trip. I've been on the hunt for some distressed white jeans and I may have found the most perfect pair! These white denim jeans are not only super stretchy, but they also have some fringe at the ankle which is so in right now!

I loved them so much, I also ordered them in black! Note: the black are slightly more distressed and not fringed at the ankle.

Black here / White here

Here are those same jeans again! This favorite is focusing on this ADORABLE off the shoulder top! You aren't going to believe this...it's UNDER $25! I originally found this top from Jennifer over at The Sister Studio and had to have it!

On the hunt for some decent denim shorts, I stopped by Nordstrom last night and found these two GREAT pairs! I ended up buying both because I needed both dark and light pairs. The first pair are great in length in the back but slightly shorter in the front. I don't feel revealing in them though, and that's what's important. The second pair are perfect in every way! I'm wearing the lighter pair in the picture.

I feel like I have so much more to share, but I think that I'll save some others for another day. Like I said, I'm going to try and get some pictures in these items so that you can see them on.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! See you next week.

Leslie

Show and Tell Tuesday: Embarrassing Moments

Happy Tuesday, friends!

What happened to our beautiful spring weather? It has been so cold and rainy here, and I'm not happy about it at all!

On a happy note though, it's Tuesday and time for a Show and Tell blog post!

If you're new here, Show and Tell Tuesday is link up with Andrea from Momfessionals to share various parts of our lives. Here are all of the awesome topics discussed throughout 2017.

I'll start off by saying that I am not easily embarrassed, so coming up with an embarrassing moment was difficult!

The only thing that comes to mind requires us to rewind back to me as an awkward 9th grader trying to find my place in a new high school, in a new town. All 9th graders were required to take a health/exercise class where we had to go run on the track everyday. So one particular morning, my friends and I were trying to impress a cute upperclassman. We were obviously paying too much attention to him, and not enough attention to where we were walking.

I literally ran right into a hurdle that was in the middle of the track and flipped right over it. As if it wasn't bad enough that I looked very clumsy, everyone else thought that I purposely tried to hurdle the hurdle, and failed epically.

It looked an awful lot like this, although it was one hurdle and I wasn't intended to be anywhere near it.

That memory lived on through the rest of high school and I never lived it down. Back then, things like that are the most awful thing that could happen, and now it's such a good laugh.

What about you all? What is your most embarrassing moment.

XO,
Leslie

Friday Favorites {3.10.17}

Happy Friday, Friends!

I'm so ready for the weekend to be here! On the agenda is some grad school work, shopping with my mom, and a whole lot of relaxation. Can I get an amen?

As always, I'm sharing some of my favorite things today.

I shared these wedges on Tuesday, but I wanted you to be able to see the black. I purchased these wedges and they are ADORABLE! So far, they're super comfy and go with just about anything. Love, love, love them!

Please excuse the messy bedroom back there! In looking around for some new things for Miami, I definitely needed a new bathing suit coverup! I love this white and navy ombre one that I found at Francesca's. They don't sell it online, so you'll have to go look in stores to find it. It's super flowy and perfect for the beach!

These haven't arrived at my house yet, but I'm so excited to get them! There is a new online boutique that I'm completely obsessed with. The only problem is that so is everyone else, and their products sell out quickly. These adorable sandals were out in my size for the longest time, but were just restocked! You should have seen how fast I was ordering them. Their website says that they fit try to size, and i'll confirm once they come!

I did a Fitbit Charge 2 review yesterday, and it's definitely one of my favorite things this week!

If you missed it, you can find it here.

That's all for this week! I hope everyone has the best weekend!

As always, make sure you're following me on Instagram

Fitbit Charge 2

Happy Thursday, friends!

Today I wanted to give you an update for an item that I posted on Friday Favorites a few weeks ago!

Last week I purchased the Fitbit Charge 2. The colors typically come in teal, navy, black and plum, but I was dying for this limited edition rose gold/lavender version! I was kind of torn whether or not I should buy another fitness tracker, but ended up splurging because I'm very much a person driven by success. When I see those steps racking up, it motivates me to keep going.

What it Can Do

Track steps
Track stairs climbed
Miles walked throughout the day
Calories burned
Active minutes
Heart rate
Various settings for workouts, and ability to log them
Tracks sleep patterns
Silent alarm
Reminders to keep moving throughout the day
Stopwatch
Alert you of text messages and phone calls

My thoughts

This Fitbit has it all! Although I love Apple products, I knew I didn't want all the crazy bells and whistles of an Apple Watch. I wanted my fitness tracker to be able to do all the things that this Charge 2 can do.

A week later and I'm so glad that I bought this. This is not my first tracker, but it is my first Fitbit. I'll be honest though. I bought one on a Friday, and was super disappointed when I woke up the next morning with 13,000 steps FROM MY SLEEP. Throughout the day, it continued to be unbelievably inaccurate. I decided to give this tracker another chance by exchanging it, and seeing if I was having the same issues.

The second one was MUCH better and I feel that it is extremely accurate for my steps throughout the day. I also tested my heart rate with this tracker, compared with my treadmill heart rate monitor, and both were consistent. The Fitbit app is awesome as well, giving you lots of important information about your activity and overall heath.

Something that I've yet to experience is to change out the bands on the Charge 2. The bands are removable and replacements are sold in stores and online. I have my eye on this guy right here.

I love a good leather watch. This is perfect to dress up your Fitbit and still track all of your steps.

The Fitbit app is also comparable with many other fitness apps that you may already use which is great. I use My Fitness Pal to log all of my meals and track how much I'm eating, which syncs right up with the Fitbit app.

If you're looking for a new fitness tracker and want something a little less fancy than an Apple Watch, this is definitely the one to get! I'm obsessed with it.

That's all for today, folks! Be sure to head back here tomorrow for some Friday Favorites!

XO,
Leslie

Spring Must Haves

Good morning, friends!

Monday is here again and in order to make the day a little brighter, I've come up with some spring must haves!

These are staples that everyone should have in their closet this season!

Jennifer over at The Sister Studio first recommended this top and I immediately bought it! It's such a gorgeous color and perfect for all of those spring blooms!

Perfect white destroyed jeans and they're under $60! These jeans have a lot of stretch to them and you'll probably be able to size down, as they stretch throughout the day. They go with anything, but look GREAT with the purple off the shoulder top.

This top is great! Such a soft and basic tee, but an added flare on the front!

Something that I'm totally into this season are fringed jeans. Don't get me wrong, I love a good rolled jean but the fringe adds a little something extra. Don't you think?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this top! It's so feminine and comfortable! It looks so great with the fringe jeans posted above! I would order a size down as it runs a little large.

I'm a big fan of Gap's Chino pants in the spring time. I just think that these colored pants with a basic tee and sandals are so easy and adorable!

Something super easy that you could throw on without a second thought is this super soft knit dress. I love paring dresses like this one with my Adidas Superstars or white Converse.

There are some wedges that are super popular this season, but I can't bring myself to spend $160 on a pair of shoes, so I found these alternatives for $60! I bought the black ones and had to size down half a size.

These are some of my fabulous clothing finds for spring, and I'm super glad that the weather has been so warm lately so that I can wear them! I hope everyone has a fabulous Monday.

Leslie
